Summary :
Mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) are the most abundant component of the lymphoid tissue of the body. They can be subject to proliferative disorders when exposed to chronic stimulation by foreign bodies if an underlying predisposing condition exists. MALT lymphoma of the orbit is a rare entity that can sometimes pose a differential diagnosis challenge with other lymphoproliferative disorders, in spite of the use of immuno-histo-chemical studies. We report two cases of orbital tumors that illustrate the diagnostic challenge MALT lymphomas can raise.
